Celebrating Cynthia St. Amour

The Brewster Ladies’ Library would like to wish Cynthia St. Amour a long and happy retirement. Cindy has been serving the Brewster community as the Library Director since 2018.  In the last five years, Cindy has worked hard to achieve local, state, and federal grants for the library. She helped redesign and update the much loved indoor and outdoor spaces everyone enjoys. Cindy helped build the library’s enormous eBook collection, which gets more and more circulation each day, particularly in the past two years. The library has been lucky to have such a passionate, strong advocate for a director.

Annual Scholarship
from Brewster Ladies’ Library Association

In the fall of 2021, the Brewster Ladies’ Library Association Board of Directors established the BLLA Annual Scholarship in the amount of $2500 to be awarded to a deserving 12th grade student who resides in Brewster, attends a high school on Cape Cod, plans to attend a two- or four-year college/university following graduation, and meets the scholarship guidelines.  Last year, our initial award was given out to a student who attended Nauset Regional High School.  This year we have expanded our eligibility to include any high school on Cape Cod where a Brewster twelfth grade student is enrolled.  We have notified the guidance departments of these additional high schools of the availability of this scholarship award.

If you are a Brewster twelfth grader, or the parent/guardian of a Brewster twelfth grade student, who meets this criteria, please contact the guidance department of the student’s high school.

Seed Library

Do you have extra vegetable or flower seeds you would like to donate to the Brewster Ladies’ Library seed library? If so, seed donations can be brought to the library during library hours or put into our book drop so long as they are appropriately labeled and tightly sealed! The seed library is free for everyone. Thank you!
