BREWSTER ARTISTS – CALL FOR ENTRIES
ANNOUNCING THE FOURTEENTH ANNUAL BREWSTER ART EXHIBIT APRIL 3 – 30, 2020
CO-SPONSORED BY THE BREWSTER CULTURAL COUNCIL AND THE BREWSTER LADIES’ LIBRARY AS PART OF OUR MISSION TO SUPPORT LOCAL CULTURE
Brewster artists are invited to participate in an exhibition at the Brewster Ladies’ Library’s gallery space. A reception and artist recognition will be held on Saturday, April 4 from 3-5 PM. Artists may submit up to two (2) original works. Wall art is limited to 3’ x 2’. Each piece must be wired and ready for hanging. Clip frames and saw tooth hangers are unacceptable. Sculpture and 3-Dimensional work is welcome if it can be hung or is under 15” tall. Work that has been previously exhibited in one of our shows is ineligible. Artists may offer their work for sale. The price listed on your application should include 6.25% state sales tax and a 10% donation to the library. Prospective buyers will be referred directly to the artists regarding purchase.
IMPORTANT DATES and TIMES
APPLICATION DEADLINE – TUESDAY, MARCH 17: Submit a completed Application and Artist Agreement and deliver to the Brewster Ladies’ Library by 5 PM Tuesday, March 17. Applications are reviewed in the order received. The first 28 completed and eligible applications will be granted exhibition space. This event fills quickly; it is advisable to apply promptly.
DELIVER WORK: THURSDAY, APRIL 2, 4:30 -5:30 PM: Brewster Ladies’ Library Auditorium. Label the back/bottom with your name and title of work.
SHOW DATES: APRIL 3 – 30, 2020
ARTISTS’ RECEPTION: SATURDAY APRIL 4, 3-5 PM. Light refreshments will be served. Artists are encouraged to invite friends!
PICK-UP ART: THURSDAY, APRIL 30, 2-4 PM. NOTE – The Library CANNOT store uncollected work. Make arrangements for someone else to pick-up your art if you are unable to do so.
