Nickerson Lecture Series 2019: Valerie Plame from Town of Brewster, MA on Vimeo.
Successful Nickerson Lecture
Have you heard of the Nickerson Lecture Series? If you haven’t this is what you missed.
It was a great honor to have Valerie Plame speak as part of the Nickerson Lecture Series on October 19, 2019 in front of a sold out audience. Her lecture provided a compelling and informative speech on her former career as a covert CIA operations officer. The week events featured extraordinary presentations that focused on her book Fair Game: My life as a Spy, My Betrayal by the White House, showing of the movie Fair Game and a lecture by Joe Wippl, who also had a 30 year career with the CIA as an operations officer.
The overwhelming success of this annual event is due in large measure to the many volunteers and local businesses that donated their time and business. This lecture series stands as a strong reminder that community supported events can draw exceptional inspiring and thought provoking content to the Brewster Ladies’ Library as whole. The Brewster Ladies’ Library Association strives to continue to present high quality programing to the community. I encourage interested community members to support your local library by joining the Brewster Ladies’ Library Association. Your membership and donation will continue to support the future of high quality programing. YOU can make a difference in creating endless possibilities of what can happen in our local library.
On behalf of the Brewster Ladies’ Library I want to express my sincere appreciation to everyone who participated in making the eighth annual Francis M. Nickerson Lecture Series such a success.
