Student Ambassador Program at Brewster Ladies’ Library
The Brewster Ladies’ Library student ambassadors promote library resources and services in their schools and provide feedback and ideas to youth services, and assist with youth services operations. They act as a voice for their fellow students.
Goals of the Program
- To promote library resources, services, workshops and events at their schools and in the community.
- To educate students about what libraries can do for them and connect students with helpful library events and services.
- To gather input from students to facilitate planning and improve library services and spaces for students.
Duties and Responsibilities may also include
- Helping with library tasks.
- Assist with the planning and implementation of library events (participation is always encouraged).
- Promoting library resources, services, workshops, and events at school and in the community.
- Serve as an advisory group to the Brewster Ladies’ Library by participating in occasional focus groups.
Ambassadors are expected to serve for at least one year, from the start of the Fall to the end of the Spring. Participants have the option of participating through the summer. Ambassadors are expected to volunteer at the library in this capacity for an agreed amount of hours each month, for example 2-4 hours monthly.
